1) What is Botox?

Botox, a highly purified form of botulinumtoxin A produced by Clostridium botulinum, is approved by FDA. It is used to improve moderate-to-severe frown lines, crows feet lines and Forehead lines.

2) What is Botox?

Repeated muscle contractions can lead to wrinkles. Botox temporarily blocks nerve signals from muscle, so muscles that it’s injected don’t contract. These effects can last several months.

3) What’s the main difference between Botox & dermal fillers?

Botox and Dermal Fillers work differently on different parts of the face.

Botox will be a better option to treat dynamic lines. It targets the muscle and reduces the visibility and motion of lines. These muscles are located in the forehead, around the eyebrows and around the sides and corners of the eyes. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are great for static wrinkles. They are visible even when you are relaxed and not making any expressions and are usually located around your mouth, nose, and jaw. This is how their usage and importance differ.

4) How long does Botox stay good?

The average Botox treatment lasts about 4-5 months.

5) Botox injections are painful?

Botox injections do not cause pain. The injection will only cause a brief stinging sensation.

6) What areas of my face can Botox be injected?

Most common areas for treatment are the forehead, frownline (between the eyebrows) and crows feet. Botox(r), however, can be used to smoothen areas around the neck and jawline.

7) What is the time frame before I see the final results of my first treatment?

After injecting Botox into the treatment area, you will see results in a few days. In most cases, you will see the full effects within three to five days.

8) Can I still make facial expressions?

Yes, Botox has a subtle effect on muscle movement. It is only limited to the area being treated. There will be no difficulty in facial expressions.

9) Can Botox cause an allergic reaction?

Botox allergic reactions are rare, but they can be serious.

10) What are the side effects and risks?

Side effects that have been reported include headaches and bruising, which are rare but not uncommon. Before you go for botox treatment, your doctor will discuss the possible side effects and what to expect.

11) How often will I require Botox treatment?

That’s because everyone is unique. However, your desired results will determine the frequency of treatments. Between treatments, the average interval is between 4 and 5 months.

12) What is the recovery time?

Botox Treatment is painless and there is no downtime. Botox Treatment is immediate and you can return to your regular work schedule immediately.

13) How can I tell if Botox is right for me or a dermal filler?

Free consultations are available to help you determine if Botox and fillers are right for you. You will be able to understand how fillers work, the cost and what to expect from your treatment.
